Briefly put

Alexandra grew up in Switzerland but has family ties both in Norway and in Nice / Biot dating back several generations. She has a Master in Communication from Switzerland and currently lives in Norway where she has been working as a Global Mobility specialist since 2007. Having spent most of her summers on the Côte d’Azur since her early childhood, Alexandra knows the region well. She joined AAA Riviera in 2024 to help expand the agency’s activity and assist clients from Switzerland, Austria and Germany in acquiring or selling property on the French Riviera.

My personal tip

The French Riviera has a tremendous number of beautiful elements to offer - gorgeous colours, a very pleasant climate, breathtaking views (whether at sea or in the country side), savoury mediterranean food, a rich culture (especially arts, handicrafts and history) and lots of leisurely activities for all ages. It really is the perfect place for holidays!

On a more serious note...

Buying a property abroad is a major investment – both in time and money, and it is therefore paramount to have good guidance. It is also of great advantage to have a detailed list of criteria ready so as to narrow down the search of your dream property. Take the time to investigate the French implications of owning a property in France (taxes, bank account, subscriptions (water, electricity, etc.) to name a few) and to make a thorough inspection of the property (including reports and other pertaining technical documents).
