Saint-Raphaël

Description: Trapped between the Mediterranean and the Esterel massif, Saint-Raphaël cultivates the charms of a medieval village and of a beautiful seaside resort. With a view to the Fréjus gulf and the lion's islands, the old town is remarkably preserved. Prehistoric evidence can still be found, just like traces of Julius Cesar's passage; much later, Napoleon set his prints as lieutenant in 1799, but also in 1814 on his way to exile on the island of Elbe. Saint-Raphaël is a particularly beautiful, charming and chic place where the Parisian elite likes to be.
