Grasse

Description: The town with the lovely scent! As the world capital of the perfume industry, two-thirds of France's production is manufactured here with traditions going back two centuries. With its climate, the protective surrounding mountains and the view to the sea, no wonder queen Victoria was a frequent visitor in Grasse. The town centre with a well-preserved medieval architecture, a cathedral containing works of Rubens and influence from the Italian renaissance, Grasse has lots to offer.
